Formula 1 – The Perfect Excuse to Visit Barcelona!

The Formula One season is well underway, and next weekend, the 5th race of the year will be held in Barcelona, Spain. A city full of architecture, beaches, nightlife and cuisine. So what better reason to plan a trip. The event is held at the circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya – which is about 20km or a half hour car ride from Barcelona city center. The weekend event is split into three days, as usual, the first being Friday the 12th of May, which will consist of a few practice laps for drivers to get use to the track. Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th are the interesting days, as they are the Qualifying and Main Race respectively. There are a variety of tickets available including a three-day pass, which also gives you the possibility to take a walk around the pits.

If you are interested in going we’d recommend gathering your friends or family and taking one of our bigger planes such as our new Cessna Citation VI, capable of holding up to 8 passengers! You could then enjoy the race in comfort and style by booking a viewing suit at the track. Positioned just above the pit lanes, the suit offers room for up to 30 guests, including tapas and drinks, a hostess, and one of the best views of the race.

If you’re planning to go with a smaller group, why not take one of our smaller planes for up to 4 people such the Embraer Phenom 100, perfect for business and client trips. There are then plenty of tickets for seats in the stands for either a specific day, or for the entire weekend.

If you haven’t been to Barcelona before, or have already enjoyed the city and want to visit again, then this is the perfect time. Since winning his championship titles in 2005 and 2006, Fernando Alonso has become a major celebrity in Spain, increasing the sport’s popularity throughout the country. And despite his disappointing start to the season, you can expect a carnival atmosphere throughout the racecourse and the city center. If you have few more days available, there are plenty of historic buildings, cathedrals and restaurants you must check– including one which made it into our list of the top 10 restaurants to visit in Europe.

If you’re interested in the event, make sure you give us a call. Not only we will make sure we book you the perfect plane for your needs, we will also help to arrange all of your travel plans, from transfers, to tickets and eating to tourism. Experiencing Formula 1 won’t get better than this!

Please join us in welcoming a new addition to our fleet – The Cessna Citation VI

Our fleet is getting a little bigger soon, as we introduce a new plane in the form of the CESSNA Citation VI! The Citation VI is known for reliability as well as high performance, and is certified to the same level as commercial jet liners (FAR part 25).

The jet is also very fast! After climbing to its flight altitude of 51,000 feet it can reach speeds of 850 km/h, with a maximum range of 3,774 KM, giving you the ability to get around not only in Europe, but also longer routes such us Africa, Russia and other places! Its fantastic speed and wide range of operation are achieved thanks to the Citation VI’s aerodynamic design, lightweight materials and powerful engines, facilitating the smoothest, most comfortable ride possible.

Stepping inside our new plane you can immediately see that it’s very spacious. The plane is 1.8m high, 1.7m wide and a little over 7m long, giving a total volume of 241 cubic feet. All of this adds up to space for six passengers, two crew and plenty of storage for 1,400 litres of baggage!

We look forward to welcoming you into our new plane as soon as possible, give us a call to arrange a trip and check it out for yourself. You can also chat with us online and we’ll help arrange your entire trip in this, or one of our other planes, which you can get more information on and compare on the ‘Our Fleet’ page of our website here!

10. Amsterdam, Netherlands

First on our list is the popular city breaks hot spot of Amsterdam. Full of culture and atmosphere, Amsterdam is a quaint little city that you just have to visit at some point in your life. The canals and bikes create an elegant, local feeling in the capital making it a truly unique city.

Rome is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, and for good reason. The city is crammed full with some of the most famous monuments in the world. Think the Colosseum, Vatican and the 2,000-year-old Pantheon. The good news is that despite the amount to see, it is possible to cram it all into a short weekend trip, and you’ll even get time to experience the fantastic dinning and buzzing night life.

06 – Las Vegas, United States of America

The party capital of the world – We all know what you should expect in Vegas, and there’s no better way to arrive than by private jet. 04 – Paris, France

As the most popular tourist destination in the world, there is no surprise that Paris has made it onto our list. With some beautiful attractions such as Notre Dame, Arc de Triomphe and of course the Eiffel Tower you’ll wont get bored of tourist attractions. The city also has one of the largest collections of fine art galleries such as the Louvre. But why we really love Paris is the French culture. Shopping and eating off of the main street is a delight, and when you learn to blend in with the locals instead of the tourists, you can see why Paris is raved about by so many.

03 – Dubai, UAE

As a city that in the last 20 years has sprung up out of the ground, it’s safe to say that Dubai doesn’t have that much history. But it certainly makes up for that with the long list of activities and things to do whilst there. Whether you want skiing, shopping, theme parks or architecture, Dubai has world record holding titles in all categories. There is also year round sun so you can enjoy some of their beaches or go on an action packed adventure of the desert dunes.

Golden beaches, beautiful architecture and a buzzing night life. What’s not to love about Barcelona. On your trip, make sure you visit the large market of La Rambla and check out Gaudi’s several masterpiece buildings spread across the city like the Casa Vicens, La Pedrea, Parc Güell and of course La Sagrada Familia. It’s also worth visiting some of the cathedrals in the gothic corner and of course sampling as much of the local Tapas and Wine as you can muster.

01 – New York City, United States of America

Number one on our list is the big apple. The city of cities. Although it may be a squeeze to fit in everything this city has to offer in one visit, we like a challenge! With world class galleries, architecture and dining, New York will leave you wanting a bit more every time you visit. You must check out Central Park during your visit and spend a few minutes pondering over the contrast between nature and skyscrapers. Check out the Statue of Liberty on Liberty Island and enjoy a show on Broadway. The really amazing thing about New York City is the culture and atmosphere that it lets off. Being in Times Square, Wall Street or in Central Park feels like you are part of a movie, an experience that can’t be missed.
